Shawn has been an integral part of MGKS, now Nydia Retirement Solutions, since 2009, starting his career with the firm right after college. His journey began in the actuarial department, where he honed his skills in Defined Benefit Plans. Over the years, Shawn’s expertise expanded to encompass a wide range of qualified retirement plans, including the firm’s newest offerings in the Pooled Employer Plan markets.
After five years of hands-on administration and training, Shawn progressed to a management position overseeing the actuarial team. His dedication and expertise led to his appointment as partner in 2019. In this role, Shawn shifted his focus to the 401(k) department, which he currently oversees and operates.
Shawn oversees several critical functions within the firm, including internal operations, marketing, and business development. Working closely with strategic partners, Shawn drives the development of new plans and creates distribution channels to expand the firm’s reach. He also ensures the firm’s compliance with the Department of Labor’s cybersecurity best practices and manages the internal network.
With his extensive knowledge in plan setup, implementation, and ongoing administration, Shawn is always ready to assist clients, mentor employees, and serve as a valuable resource for anyone in the firm’s network seeking guidance on retirement matters.
